nothing is perfect…

June 1, 2021 Posted by Carol latest posts No Comments

Nothing in life is perfect. That’s a lesson I learned a long time ago – or thought I had. I’m excited to be starting this travel blog and I got so wrapped up in making it “perfect” that I never really started blogging. A long and ever growing list of “oh, i just need to adjust this” or “ I need to redo that” caused me to get stuck – and I’ve been there for a while.

I am not a procrastinator but I do have (let’s call them) perfectionist leanings. So I’ve been learning all over again that nothing is perfect, including this blog, and no matter how much I tweak, proof, and adjust its still not going to be perfect. So I might as well start, right?

This blog was set up more than a year ago with grandiose visions of funny text, helpful advice about travel, and glorious photos from around the world. There is a lot of that vision here. But there are also links that dont have articles connected to them yet ( the dreaded “page under construction” message !) and pages that just aren’t exactly how I like them. I’ll get there, but if I wait until I’m completely satisfied you’ll never have anything to read!! So, today is the first official post that will propel this blog down the road and keep a record of all the amazing things I’ve done and still have yet to do. I hope you will take a look around, drop me a note about something you’re interested in hearing more about, and if you enjoy what you see, even subscribe.

Travel isnt going to be perfect either for the forseeable future but that shouldnt stop us from seeing the world and enjoying every minute as much as possible! I’m excited for my first trip since the coronavirus struck a year and a half ago. I’m headed to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, which crosses an item off the North America portion of my “to do” list.  I’ll write more about that in upcoming posts as well as making sure all the items already created have some great content for you to read.

In the meantime, my map is out and my notepad and passport are at the ready. I’m looking forward to being on the road and sharing it with you.
